FlareDrops
A total of 24.2 billion FLR will be distributed over 36 monthly FlareDrops to community members who have either wrapped their FLR or staked to a Flare validator.
Every 30 days, around 670 million FLR are allocated based on participants’ combined wrapped FLR (WFLR) and staked FLR. Each FlareDrop must be claimed within 67 days—unclaimed tokens will be permanently burned.

Criteria
- FlareDrops allocations each month are based on the combined total of WFLR held and FLR staked on the P-Chain.
- Three random blocks are chosen during the 23 days prior to claim day to calculate the average holdings of all wallets. This period is called the “holdings calculation period”.
- The number of FlareDrops tokens that a wallet can claim in any month is based on its relative share of all WFLR and staked FLR in circulation.
- No Flare related entity, employee or founder may use their token allocation to claim a portion of the FlareDrops.
How FlareDrops Work
FlareDrops are monthly token distributions designed to reward active participants in the Flare network. To be eligible, you need to either wrap your FLR into WFLR or stake your FLR to a Flare validator.
Here’s how it works:
- Wrap or Stake FLR
To participate, you must either:
Convert your FLR intoWFLR (Wrapped FLR), or
Stake your FLR to a validator on the Flare network.
- Snapshot and Distribution
Every 30 days, a snapshot of all wrapped and staked FLR is taken. Based on this snapshot, approximately 670 million FLR are proportionally distributed to eligible users. - Claim Your FlareDrop
After each distribution, you’ll have 67 days to claim your tokens. Any unclaimed FLR after this period will be burned permanently. - Monthly Cycle
This process continues each month for a total of 36 FlareDrops, distributing up to 24.2 billion FLR in total.
